FAQ

By far the most Frequently Asked Question is, "What does TORBA mean?"

TORBA is Polish for "bag" and a nod to my family's heritage. It is the perfect fit to represent both the product and the maker.

Care and Feeding of Vegetable-Tanned leather

Vegetable-tanned leather will patina (continue to darken and develop a gorgeous shine). Natural oils from your hands and sunlight help develop this patina, while scuff marks and surface scratches will add to the beauty of this leather. A light rain might leave minor water marks, but likely not and will just add to your bag's unique character. Wet leather should be allowed to dry at room temperature. Feel free to use a leather conditioner (specifically for vegetable-tanned leather) if desired or needed. TORBA leather is meant to be hardworking and show off it's durability in full-grain style.

Care and Feeding of Waxed Canvas

Best practice is to just let the canvas show off it's creases and wrinkles that develop over time and enjoy the aged patina. It's also fun to "reset" the wax with direct hairdryer heat just a few inches away from the fabric to soften the wax and restore it's original condition. Please spot-clean only; waxed canvas and washing machines/dryers do not get along.
